How to Find Your Saved Passwords on iPhone (Passwords App Guide)
Forgot a website or app password saved on your iPhone? The Passwords app shows all of them, plus Wi-Fi passwords, verification codes and security alerts. Here is how to use it.
Your iPhone remembers the passwords you save in Safari and apps. Since iOS 18, they are all in a dedicated app: Passwords. Here is how to find, manage and protect them.
Open the Passwords app
Find Passwords on the Home Screen or in the App Library, and unlock it with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
What you will find
- All: website and app passwords.
- Passkeys: passwordless sign-ins.
- Codes: verification codes (two-factor authentication) you set up.
- Wi-Fi: saved Wi-Fi networks and their passwords. See share a Wi-Fi password.
- Security: alerts for weak, reused or leaked passwords.
- Deleted: recently deleted passwords, recoverable for a while.
Find a password
- Type the site or app name in the search field.
- Tap the entry, then tap the password to reveal it, copy it or edit it.
Fix security alerts
The Security section tells you which passwords appear in known data leaks. Change them first, starting with email, banking and social networks. Use the suggested strong passwords when creating accounts.
Share passwords with family
Create a shared group (the + button > New Shared Group) to share, for example, the TV streaming password with your family. Each member sees the updates automatically.
Access on Windows
With iCloud for Windows, you can use your iCloud passwords on a PC through the iCloud Passwords app and browser extension.
Lost your Apple Account password?
The Passwords app does not store your Apple Account password itself. Recover it: Apple Account locked or forgotten password.
Protect access
- Use a strong device passcode: anyone who knows it can open Passwords.
- Turn on Stolen Device Protection: iOS 27 settings to change.
