For years Apple said Macs did not need touchscreens. That is about to change: according to Bloomberg and MacRumors, Apple is preparing OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro models for launch around October 27, 2026. Here is what is reported. Nothing is official until Apple announces it.

Clues in macOS 27.2

- Potentially better battery life with dark content.
- Thinner, lighter display assembly.
Should you buy a MacBook Pro now?
If you need a Mac immediately, current models remain excellent. If you can wait a few weeks, you will either get the new design or a discount on the previous generation. Students and professionals in Africa and Asia should also check local availability: new models often arrive later outside the first launch countries.
